I have terminal prostate cancer and cannot walk very far. I attached the Rover 2.0 to my EVATECH remote control lawn mower and now I can cut my lawn (while sitting inside my home) and see what is in the path of my mower. The battery life and video/voice range of the Rover 2.0 is excellent. Understanding the Rover 2.0 is just "along for the ride". Thank you for a great product.

I found hard to control in both manual steering and the tilt function steering. On a Samsung Galaxy S3 two finger taps are not always recognized so has a tendency to continue turning when you want to go straight. And G drive can be just as tricky as when you want to reverse or stop you'll tilt the screen to vertical from the flat position and the rover is still traveling forward. I have none of these accelerometer problems with my ar drone or ar drone 2. I think the app need tweaking. And yes the batteries do run out faster than the original rover. Much quicker in fact. Came with scratches on it right out of the box. Old white rover is in better condition than rover 2.0 new

Comments about Rover 2.0 App-Controlled Wireless Spy Tank:
Generally works as advertised. The flexible track on the right side comes off occasionally when making tight turns - will call for a warranty replacement, no biggee.
Some have commented that the tank only has one speed. That is not exactly true. In reverse you can find a very slow speed backwards, at least using Android Rover2 App version 1.3. Thus, with improved software App releases, better variable speed control should be possible.
Suggested improvements:
- It would also be nice to have a PC app to operate the Rover throught and existing home network WiFi Router.
- Also, it would be really neat to operate the rover remotely across the internet.
- One final suggestion would be a charging docking station, similar to a well known vacuum robot.
Good product evolution, and I will be looking forward to Rover 3.

Comments about Rover 2.0 App-Controlled Wireless Spy Tank:
I bought this rover as a present to myself for my Birthday. It runs great and I learned the feeling of the controls within 5 minutes. The most fun I've had with it is chasing my buddy's cats around his apartment. The biggest problem with this rover is that sometimes it looses the signal with the iPad. This seems to happen when in corners next to a wall. It has only happened a few times, and it could just be my house as it is 60+ years old. Still, it is a fun toy to have for those of us who are still kids at heart.
Pros
- Lots of fun
- Very easy
Cons
- Eats batteries
- Loud
- No Internet Use

Comments about Rover 2.0 App-Controlled Wireless Spy Tank:
As it is, this is a fun toy, but with a few changes, it could be so much more. Primary change which would only take a few tweaks in software would be to allow it to be used through the Internet as a mobile Internet camera with two-way voice. The possible applications for both family and business are countless. 2nd thing would be to provide a rechargeable battery pack, even better with a way to dock it or land it on a charging pad (ala Roomba).
